“A descriptive grammar of the Kurumba language of Attappady” is an unpublished work, written by Dr. P.N. Ravindran and assisted by C.G.Syama, in the year 1986. This book concentrates on the descriptive grammar, mainly on phonology, Nouns, Verbs, defective verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Author introduces the readers to the appellatives, clitics and kinship terms of Kurumba.
Kurumba is an important tribal community in South India.The main purpose of this analysis is to evolve a comprehensive picture of the Kurumba language and to assess how far it is related and can be grouped with other tribal languages hither to analyzed for formulating a detailed scheme to promote the tribal education programme through their mother tongue media

1986 ൽ സി.ജി. ശ്യാമയുടെ സഹകരണത്തിൽ ഡോ. ഡി. എൻ. രവീന്ദ്രൻ അട്ടപ്പാടിയിലെ ആദിവാസികളുടെ കുറുമ്പ ഭാഷയേക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വ്യാകരണപുസ്തകം വിപകരണാത്മകമായി എഴുതി. ക്രിയ, നാമം, നാമവിശേ,ണം, ക്രിയവിശേഷണം എന്നിവ വളരെ വിവരണാത്മകമായ് പുസ്തകത്തിൽ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ പ്രാചീനകാലത്തെ ആദിവാസി വിഭാഗക്കാരാണ് കുറുമ്പർ. ഗ്രന്ഥകർത്താവ് പ്രധാനമായും നോക്കുന്നത് കുറുംബഭാഷയ്ക്ക് മറ്റു ആദിവാസി ഭാഷയുമായുള്ള സാമ്യം കുറുംബഭാഷയുടെ വ്യാകരണവ്യാപ്തി മുതലായവയാണ്.
