As part of Janjatiya Garima Utsav, a one-day seminar on “Tech Driven Sustainable Tribal Development in the Era of AI” was organized on 15 May 2026 at the Lecture Hall, KIRTADS Campus, Chevayur, Kozhikode. The programme was conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Department, Government of Kerala.
The seminar focused on exploring the transformative role of emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), in promoting sustainable tribal development.
The programme provided a platform for meaningful discussions on leveraging technological innovations while safeguarding tribal culture, traditions, and community rights. Participants shared experiences, best practices, and innovative approaches for integrating technology into tribal development initiatives in a sustainable and inclusive manner.
The seminar contributed to enhancing awareness about the opportunities and challenges associated with AI-driven development and highlighted the importance of adopting technology-based solutions for the socio-economic advancement of tribal communities.
