Vision
Committed to provide academic and professional support and guidance in various matters pertaining to Scheduled Communities of the State with special focus on their evidence based planning, management, administration and appropriate legislations, act as a store-house of ideas and information on research studies, extension activities, development initiatives, and policy decisions for the welfare of marginalized sections of the society, conduct evaluation studies on various development schemes of the Scheduled Tribe Development Department, Local Self Government and other agencies, capacity building of Tribals and Persons/Institutions associated with tribal affairs, dissemination of information and creation of awareness, protect the constitutional rights of the SC/ST claims as per ‘The Kerala (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Regulation of issue of Community Certificate Act 11 of 1996, organize training programmes, events, workshops, seminars and other activities of National/International level for the sustainable development of the Scheduled Communities of the State and undertake activities for the protection and promotion of the traditional knowledge, art forms and culture of the Scheduled Communities of the State through inclusive development.
