“A Grammar of the Urali Language of idukki”, is written by C.G.Syama (Research Assistant). This is an unpublished work written in the year 1997. This is based on the language spoken by the hill tribes uralis of idukki district. Book gives a linguistic study of Urali language and to prepare a grammar. Main points discussed are the phonological and morphological features of this tribal language – kinship terms, sentences and lexical items are also included.

ഇടുക്കിയിലെ ആദിവാസി ഭാഷയായ ഊരാളി ഭാഷയുടെ വ്യാകരണം തയ്യാറാക്കിയത് സി.ജി. ശ്യാമയാണ്. 1977 തയ്യാറാക്കിയ ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ വിവരിക്കുന്നത് മലമുകളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന ഊരാളിപട്ടികഗോത്ര വിഭാഗത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഷയേക്കുറിച്ചാണ്. പുസ്തകം ഊരാളി ഭാഷയുടെ ഭാഷാശാസ്ത്രപരമായ പഠനം, വ്യാകരണം, ഭാഷയുടെ പ്രത്യേകത, മുതലായവ പുസ്തകത്തിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. പ്രധാനമായും ഭാഷയുടെ ശബ്ദസഞ്ചയം, അവയുടെ വിതരണം മോർഫോളജി, ഫോണോളജി, വാക്യങ്ങൾ, ബന്ധുത്വപദങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു.
