This is an unpublished work, written by Dr. P.N. Ravindran and assisted by C.G. Syama, in the year 1987. This book looks into the phonology, nouns, verbs, adjectives, kinship terms and vocabulary of Muduga language. As the present study is mainly confined to the linguistic aspect of Mudugas no further enquiry on their ethnographic details are attempted here. വകുപ്പിലെ ഭാഷാശാസ്ത്ര വിഭാഗത്തിലുള്ള ഡോ. പി.എൻ. രവീന്ദ്രൻ, ശ്രീ. സി.ജെ. ശ്യാമ തുടങ്ങിയവരാണ് പ്രസ്തുത ഗവേഷണപഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്. 1981 ആണ് ഈ ഗവേഷണം പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്. ഇതുവരെ ഇത് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഇതിൽ മുഡുഗ പട്ടികഗോത്ര വിഭാഗത്തിന്‍റെ തനത് ഭാഷയിലെ ഗ്രാമർ ആണ് തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഇതിൽ ഫോണോളജി, മോർഫോളജി, വാക്യഘടന, ശബ്ദങ്ങളുടെ വിതരണം, നാമം, ക്രിയ, ക്രിയാഭേദങ്ങൾ, നാമവിശേഷണം, ക്രിയാവിശേഷണം, പദസഞ്ചയം, ബന്ധുത്വപദങ്ങൾ മുതലായ വ്യാകരണസങ്കേതങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് വിവരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
