“A comprehensive grammar of kadars of Cochin (A descriptive study)”, written by Dr. P.N. Ravindran, in the year 1985. This is an unpublished work, which aims to give the phonology, different types of nouns and verbs in Kadars of cochin. Also. Dr. P. N. Ravindran introduce the readers to the vocabularies of Kadars of cochin.

Kadars of cochin is considered as one of the primitive tribal communities in Kerala. They live in the thick forest of the districts of Trichur and Palghat. As this book is mainly confirmed on the linguistic aspect of this tribe a detailed ethnological investigation is not made here.

1985 ൽ ഡോ. പി. എൻ. രവീന്ദ്രൻ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ പുസ്തകമാണിത്. ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ കാടർ ഭാഷയിലെ ശബ്ദസഞ്ചയവും, നാമങ്ങൾ, ക്രിയാരൂപങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ വിഷയങ്ങൾ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നു. വായനക്കാർക്ക് കൊച്ചിയിലെ കാടർഭാഷയുടെ ഒരു ശബ്ദകോശവും ഇതിലൂടെ ഡോ. പി. എൻ. രവീന്ദ്രൻ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കൊച്ചിയിലെ കാടർവിഭാഗക്കാർ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രാചീന കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ തന്നെ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന ആദിവാസി വിഭാഗക്കാർ ആണ്. ഇവർ പ്രാക്തനഗോത്ര വിഭാഗത്തിൽപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ പാലക്കാടിലെയും തൃശ്ശൂരിലേയും വനാന്തരങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന ഈ വിഭാഗക്കാരുടെ ഭാഷാശാസ്ത്രപരമായ വിഷയങ്ങൾ ക്രിയാത്മകമായി വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
